After watching a loved one become ill and bedridden within a month, we needed someone knowledgeable and personable to help. However, after months of continued health complications, personal advocacy, and insurance accessibility were hard to come by. I found myself reading through tons of insurance papers to figure out what could be done to help.

I soon realized I had the transferable skillset required — science articles, research papers, textbooks, and other such publications are full of jargon (just like most insurance policies). I was encouraged to utilize all the knowledge gained and get licensed to provide the care we needed to other families across the province.

My business is dedicated to my now late mother (Dec. 2022).

Interviewing and being interviewed by dozens of insurance providers taught me a great deal about the industry quickly. Initially unaware of the stigma, I was caught by surprise to find that most insurers cared far more about sales than clients by requiring memorization of scripts to increase closing rates, purposefully offering expensive blanket products instead of personalized plans to increase commissions, leveraging the trust within personal relationships to provide referrals, and so much more.

Business is business, sure, but life insurance is more severe than that. Where are the advisors at the end? Will loved ones be financially impacted during claims? Where is their advocacy?

I decided I wanted no part in such systems; I would do it better — my way. Offers were rejected, and I decided to work independently.

Ironically, in the financial industry's inherently greedy and self-serving realm, I quickly found my place repairing in the damaging wake of corporate insurance tactics. With fiery passion and dedicated ambition, I offered to advocate for all people in all rights.

Partnering with innovative industry technology allowed me to ensure cost-effective solutions. Staying true to my principles and family values provides accessible, personalized service and ongoing care with the tragic reality of claims in the forefront of my mind. By learning, educating, and adapting, I hope to foster the creation of more aware and better-protected communities.
